Top Ten 2013 Reads So Far

7:40 PM

These are my favorite 2013 reads, not necessarily published in 2013, and not in any particular order. With the book covers, I have included a quote from the book that I love. :)

“I hold the bottle out into the rain and watch as the steady flow slowly
fills it. When there is enough, enough that Beth can clearly see, I close the bottle and hand it to her. She raises a skeptical eyebrow, but accepts the bottle.

"It's our rain Beth. I told you I loved you in this rain and when you doubt my words, I want you to look at this bottle.”

A boy that I'm seriously, deeply, madly, incredibly, and undeniably in love with. And he taught me the most important thing of all... To put the emphasis on life .”

“So you keep your ocean, I'll take the Lake.”

“That's the funny thing about trying to escape. You never really can. Maybe temporarily, but not completely.”

"Tell me what you told me earlier." "I love you." "That's all I ever need to hear." "Those three words?" "Always those three words.”

And by the time an hour had passed, the sky would be filled with so
many stars that it would wake the neighbors. People wondered who'd
turned on the floodlights. The boy did. By thinking about the girl.”

“And I hold my head high toward my big entrance, hand in hand with the boy who gave me the moon and the stars.”

“If you’re scared, tell me. If you need to cry and scream, then do it.
And you sure as hell don’t walk away from us because you think it would
be better for me. Here’s the reality, Echo: I want to be by your side. If you want to go to the mall stark naked so you can show the world your scars, then let me hold your hand. If you want to see your mom, then tell me that too. I may not always understand, but damn, baby, I’ll try.”

“He didn’t give me flowers or candy. He gave me the moon and
 the stars. Infinity"

“There hadn’t been one specific moment. It was like gradualy waking up. You go from being asleep to the space between dreaming and awake and then into consciousness. It’s a slow process, but when you’re awake, there’s no mistaking it. There was no mistaking that it had been love.”

“Sometimes, it's the scary things in life that are the most worthwhile.”

Think of everything we’ve missed.
Every touch and every kiss.
Because we both insist. Resist.

“I can't believe you're here," she says, her voice soft.
"I can't believe you found me."
"You found me first," he says, and when he leans to kiss her, it's slow and sweet and she knows that this will be the one she always remembers. Because while the other two kisses felt like endings, this one is unquestionably a beginning.”

“I don’t care how hard being together is, nothing is worse than being apart.”

“So, what can't you take? Decide which of the two options is harder, and do the other. That way, no matter how hard your choice turns out to be, at least you can find comfort in knowing you're avoiding something even worse.”

“I've been loved in life, but all that matters now is that I'm loved by you.

“I didn't want to see you, but you invaded my world. Every dark corner you found a way in bringing light to the lifeless and lost."

  12. I really need to read Lola and the Boy Next Door - I've seen it on every TTT since I joined a month ago! Judging by your list I think you're most likely to enjoy Stay by Deb Caletti off my list, so if you do add the books to your TBR, start there!

Hi guys! Thanks for taking your time to read through my post and comment on this blog. I appreciate each and every one of your comments, though I might not respond immediately to them. Also, if you're commenting on a meme, I would prefer replying on your meme post rather than here on my blog. :)
