At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance—and the enchanting music that inspires one young woman to put her life back together.

Colleen Hoover has written yet another must-read masterpiece! I won't even try to recap this anymore because I have too much feels to discuss and I don't want this to be too long.

When I knew that Maybe Someday was available in my country, I immediately wanted to buy it. I couldn't though, because I couldn't get out of the house. Then, my good friend Dyane bought a copy for me, I was extremely happy! When I held the book in my hand, I knew I was going to love it, especially after taking it out of the plastic cover and feeling the texture of the book! I tell you, it's so awesome that I vow never to plastic wrap this book no matter what!

But enough of the cover, because I love the content as much as it. Maybe Someday was definitely a different kind of read for me. It made me feel everything that the characters felt, and those feelings were intensified because this book is in dual POVs. I felt two feelings at once, and my heart almost burst because it was so intense.

On the first few chapters of the book, I learned that Ridge has a girlfriend while feeling all these things for Sydney. I was immediately torn because I hated books with two-timers. But as I read on, I began to know Ridge as a person, and it was as if it was okay for him to be like that because I finally understood him. Despite his betrayal, he knew that he was wrong, and he did everything to do what is right. I admired him for that, instead of hating it. I think this might be the only book that I am okay with this kind of situation.

Sydney, on the other hand, was just cheated on by Hunter, so she knows exactly how it will feel for Maggie if she finds out. With that, she also tried with all her strength to avoid her attraction towards Ridge.

I really admire both these characters because of their good hearts. They were confused a lot, but it was amazing how selfless they could be. I also admired their honesty and their courage to talk about their feelings and try to get past them together. They even devised a plan on how to avoid they attraction - tell each other their flaws. This was actually what I loved the most about the whole story. Being honest with one's emotions is something that's really hard for most people, and the fact that they can do this is admirable.

They understood each other so much that they stood on the same ground led me to believe that these two characters are really perfect for each other. The lyrics they wrote were beautiful, and as I read and listened to those words, I felt like I had to lock myself in my room so as not to make any embarrassing reactions in front of my family, and so that's exactly what I did - I locked myself in my room the whole to read this book. I couldn't even eat dinner because I just had to finish it!

Boy was I glad that I locked myself in my room because this book was a roller coaster ride with all the confusing emotions from both the characters, and I felt all of it. There were moments when I had to stop because the emotions were too much and I just wanted to shout and punch something.

Maybe Someday is beautiful in a sense that it affected me so much because Colleen Hoover used all the right words at the right time. It is beautiful because she wrote it in a way that even I didn't hate Ridge for being a two-timer. It is beautiful because it had lyrics and it had the actual song. It was beautiful because I understood the characters too much. It was beautiful because of the friendship, love and efforts. This list could go on and on. I just want to say that everything about this book is beautiful and perfect, and that I need everyone to read it so that I can have more people to rant about this one to!

I have no idea how I'll ever get over this book (Ridge) hangover, but I know for sure that it wont be quick and easy. Seriously, Colleen Hoover, first Will Cooper and now Ridge Lawson? I don't think I can allow your characters to take that much space in my heart because it won't have any room left for any other book boyfriends anymore! I'm scared to read your next book because of how much your work affect me!

P.S. I hope Colleen Hoover writes a book about Warren. ;)

P.P.S. I want to express my gratitude to Griffin Peterson too, for bringing life to the amazing words in the book. Listening to you sing while I read the book definitely made it all the more amazing!

“Hurts to see you everyday
Cupid shuts his eyes and shot me twice
Smell your perfume on my bed
Thoughts of you invade my head
Truths are written, never said
And if I can't be yours now
I'll wait here on this ground
Till you come, till you take me away
Maybe someday
Maybe someday”
