It's been three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life.

And three years he's spent wondering why.

When their paths cross again in New York City, Adam and Mia are brought back together for one life-changing night.

Adam finally has the opportunity to ask Mia the questions that have been haunting him. But will a few hours in this magical city be enough to lay their past to rest, for good - or can you really have a second chance at first love?

Three years after the accident, and three years since Adam lost contact with Mia. Adam is still grieving, which resulted to bad relationships with his bandmates. But fate intervened, and Adam and Mia saw each other once more and spent the whole night together going through Mia's favorite New York spots.

As they spend the night together, they talk and reminisce, and Adam finally gets the answer to the question that he has been asking for a long time - why did Mia just leave him hanging like that?

Told in Adam's point of view, this book is about Adam and Mia's journey back to each other.

After loving If I Stay so much, I couldn't help but have high expectations of this one. At first I was worried, but those were for nothing because as soon as I finished the first few chapters, it became as amazing as the first book. And this book being told in Adam's point of view is just freaking amazing!

The jumping of this book between past and present makes the readers know Adam more - how his band came to be, his feelings during Mia's stay in the hospital, and how he coped with the break-up - making this book as gripping and heart-wrenching as the first one. That must've been hard, but Gayle Forman pulled it off amazingly.

I don't even know what to say anymore except that this book is amazing, you should read it, and let's fangirl about the upcoming movie of If I Stay together!

“You don’t share me. You own me.”

“But still, I find the need to remind myself of the temporariness of a day, to reassure myself that I got through yesterday, I'll get through today.”

“Letting go. Everyone talks about it like it's the easiest thing. Unfurl your fingers one by one until your hand is open.”
