Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget.

When I heard that Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher, two of my absolute favorite authors, were going to write a book together, I was immediately excited, and I knew that no matter what the book was going to be about, I would read it. But at the back of my mind, there was also worry because from reading their books, I knew that these two authors' styles were very different.

I expected both weirdness and amazing-ness from this book, and I was not disappointed! This book is definitely weird, in a way that's good. It's unique - I don't there's another book like this one out there. And obviously, because it's a collaboration between two amazing authors, this was amazing too!

Reading the book, seeing Tarryn Fisher's and Colleen Hoover's unique writing styles made me smile. There were passages that made it distinct which author wrote that part, and I couldn't help but love it! I didn't expect this kind of story from both of them, but I enjoyed it nevertheless.

I actually have nothing much to say about this book because I feel like it's not complete yet. And that's what's keeping me from enjoying this book. I know that there is a part two, but I wish that the two parts were just combined together. Other than that, it was a great book!

For those who haven't read this yet, I would actually suggest putting it off until the second part comes out because I assure you, you would be dying in anticipation for the next part. The cliffhanger is seriously mind-boggling, and I want to strangle both authors for doing this to me! I haven't even been waiting for more than 24 hours, and I already need the next book!

“You think you can make me like you again?”
I look over at her and give my head the slightest shake. “No. I’m gonna make you fall in love with me again.”

  1. This was actually the first book that I've read by Tarryn Fisher, but I'm definitely going to have to check out more of her books. I do agree with you on the imcomplete feeling. As much as I enjoyed this one, I felt like it wasn't finished and I think I would have preferred a longer standalone rather than two smaller books.

  3. I haven't read anything from either of these authors(though I really want too!) but I've heard mixed things about this one. I think sometimes books are split into two or three that really shouldn't be, I don't know about this one but I've read a couple that it just doesn't feel like a complete book like part of a series should.

Glad you enjoyed this one and I hope the wait isn't too tortuous! =)

That's true! That's why I would actually advice those who haven't read it yet to just wait till part 2 comes out. :)

  5. ooh I saw this one around a lot in people's STS posts this week! It seems like a fantastic novel even though I'm not a huge fan of NA romance. I will have to keep a close eye on this one xD

  6. I've never read anything by either of these authors but I always hear good things. I was mostly intrigued by this book because of the very vague synopsis, but I think I'll take your advice and wait till the second part comes out and just read them as one big book.

  10. A lot of people have told me I need to read both of these authors. I have also heard that this one is very different though. Thanks for the advice on waiting for part 2. That would have drove me nuts with it not feeling complete.

  11. I'll take your advice and wait for the part 2 before I read this one. Haha.. :) I haven't read anything by Tarryn Fisher before and Maybe Someday is the only Colleen Hoover book I've read so far, so I don't really know if I should be excited about Never Never. Nice review, Kim. :)

@Juhina: It is the worst, and Colleen Hoover is really awesome!
@Candace: You should, they're both amazing!
@Julie: Yay! I don't think it's their best work, but good nonetheless.

  14. I didn't enjoy this book much…It was so disappointing. Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher weren't a very good combination for me. Sometimes I get confused with who is who. The characters sounded alike in their thought since they were in the same dilemma. And also..nothing much happened in the story. There was so progress…:(
