The One Where I Got to Meet Colleen Hoover, Tarryn Fisher and Chrstine Brae!

I'm saying sorry in advance because this might not be coherent since I JUST MET COLLEEN HOOVER, TARRYN FISHER AND CHRISTINE BRAE IN PERSON!!!

I prepared this for 5-7 minutes each. I did this on the same day as the signing because I was so tired the night before. I'm kinda ashamed because they were done in a hurry, but I really wanted to give the authors something.

On September 19, 2015, I met these three authors, and it's one of the top events of my life. I woke up at 4:00 am in the morning to prepare and finally left the house at 5:00 am. I arrived at the event center at around 5:40 am and there were already a lot of people in front of me!

People in front of me when I arrived.

The registration is not until 10:00 am, so people were sitting on the floor while waiting for the SMX doors to open.

A panoraamic shot of the people at the event center as of 8:20 am. I'm at the blank-ish part at the center.

The doors at SMX finally opened at 8:30 am and we were let into the air conditioned place. Yay! But still, we just stood there waiting until we were allowed to register.

I finally got registered somewhere around 10:00, I'm not really sure. I got #95! :D

My *new* friends and I went to grab lunch first, and then came back to SMX at around 1:30pm. We then walked around since there was a 20% for all the books there.

This is my book haul for this week, but I only got Falling Kingdoms, The Name of the Wind and
The Wise Man's Fear there. I got Queen of Shadows before the event.

We got back to the signing area at around 4:00 pm even though the signing is not until 5:00 pm since we wanted to be in front.

Here's a selfie with my new-found friends and PART of the crowd! :)

The authors arrived a few minutes after 5:00 and after saying a few words to their fans, the signing ensued. Here are my photos with the authors and photos of them signing my books or talking to me. I also gave my calligraphy/typography papers to them.

I learned that Christine is a fellow LIA-COM Lasallian, and I actually just saw now on the photos that she's also left-handed! What do you think guys? I think this is fate! <3

I was so tongue-tied when I got to go in front of both Tarryn and Colleen that I was only able to say to them both, "I have something for you" and nothing more. I'm kind of disappointed that I wasn't able to talk to them more. And I'm really, really disappointed that I forgot to ask Tarryn about Judah!

Look guys! Christine Brae said she loved my typography and told me to write something for her on it. I couldn't think of anything, so she just made me sign it. She even lent me the Sharpie she used to sign our books! Ahhhh, you're too kind, Christine!

Thank you so, so much, Christine Brae and National Book Store for turning this event into a reality! I waited for 12-13 hours for the signing in MIBF and I have aching feet and shoulders, but everything was oh so worth it! Ahhhh, this event is definitely one for the books!

Here are my new treasures <3
